After announcing the ability to retrieve deleted messages in its latest beta update for iOS, Meta-owned WhatsApp is now releasing a feature that allows group admins to delete any message in the group.
The feature was only rolled out to a few lucky beta testers, so it will take time to reach all other accounts, reports WABetaInfo.
“If you are a group admin and cannot delete messages sent by other participants, please wait for a future update as more activations will follow in the coming weeks,” the report said.
The report mentions that this is an important feature for group admins as they can finally moderate their WhatsApp groups better.
Also, when a message is deleted for everyone in the group, all other group members can see that a specific group admin deleted the message.
Recently, the platform has started to see status for iOS users directly from WhatsApp chat list.
Beta version 22.18.0.70 brings the ability to show status updates in the chat list. It has been released to certain beta testers, so it’s still not available to everyone.
