WhatsApp regularly works on several updates to offer users a better user interface. The instant messaging app now offers the ability to view a list of previous participants in our groups, reported WABetaInfo, the website that tracks the latest WhatsApp updates.

The new option is visible in the group information. The site also shared a screenshot of the new feature. The update will be released to some beta testers who install the latest beta version of the app through TestFlight.

“There is a new option at the bottom of the group participants list that allows us to discover people who have left or been removed in the last 60 days.” WABetaInfo wrote. The feature is available to everyone and not just limited to group admins. Any group member can open the Previous Participants panel.

“It is true that people who left or were removed from the group are listed in this section, but this event is no longer visible in chat,” the site reported. In particular, it is only visible to group admins in chat for moderation reasons. The feature is currently only released to a few beta users. The past participants update will be released to more beta users in the coming weeks.

That Meta custom app also released a new version of the context menu. The feature will be available after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Windows from the Microsoft Store. Last week WhatsApp released a feature that allows group admins to delete any message for everyone.
