The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp has a feature that allows users to save important messages so that they can easily access them later.
The Starred Messages feature allows users to bookmark messages that they can refer to quickly later.
This is how this function works:
Step 1: You need to open a chat on WhatsApp first and long press on a message to save it.
step 2: There is a star icon at the top of the screen. You have to tap it to save it as an important message in the app.
You can also unmark a message in a similar manner. There is a section on WhatsApp that says “Starred Messages”. It’s visible when you tap the button with the three dots that is near the search bar icon.

The drop-down menu shows the “Messages Starred” option. If you want to unmark a message, you need to long-press the message and then unmark the message by tapping the star icon.
Users can also remove all saved messages at once. A three-dot symbol above allows you to do this.

There is also an alternate method that users can use to find a specific message if they don’t want to use the flagged messages feature.
The app has a “Search” option in individual chats and in the main window that allows you to type in the message you want to find and WhatsApp will quickly display the messages related to your search.
